Kayleen Pen, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
As your therapist, I aim to provide you the support and care you need through any life transition or struggle. My international upbringing has taught me to appreciate and connect with people from all cultures, ages, and circumstances. Through my graduate education and training at Northwestern University, I developed mastery in helping clients cope with anxiety, depression, and adjustment to common or major life stressors.
People describe me as energetic and empathetic. This is often reflected in my therapeutic work, so you can expect to receive warmth, caring, and laughter within each session. I won't try to persuade you to see the world from my point of view; I strive to honor yours. In fact, I have a deep curiousity and respect for the human experience, and working with cultural difference is a passion of mine! Through a mixture of listening, thought-provoking questions, and tools, my clients have learned ways to move past their difficulties. The end result? They report feeling more secure, confident, and satisfied in their lives!
"I've consulted with Kayleen Pen about multiple clients, especially third culture individuals, and she has always been incredibly insightful and knowledgeable. Kayleen seems to care deeply about her clients, takes time to fully understand them, is able to create safe therapeutic relationships, and is always empathetic! If you are a third culture kid, I highly recommend Kayleen!"
