Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Pecora is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in research and treatment.

As a Health Psychologist, she firmly believes that therapy is a healthy support system for creating positive change in one’s life, both physically and emotionally. Her goal is to help you uncover your true potential, and lead a life that is worth enjoying. While people cannot change difficult situations or the past, Kristina works with you to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. Through application of complementary therapy approaches and techniques, she will work with you to unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may hold you back from experiencing a more fulfilling, more meaningful life.

Kristina is a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (PsyD, 2008), The Catholic University of America (MA, 2003), and Hope College (BA, 2000). She is recently certified as a Mediator by the Center for Conflict Resolution (July 2019), and specializes in collaborative divorce and small business disputes. She is a Certified Health Coach and member of the National Society of Health Coaches (2017). She received a Certificate in Global Mental Health with a specialization in Trauma and Recovery from Harvard Medical School (May 2016). She is a member of the American Psychological Association (Div 38-Health Psychology), and the Association for Contextual & Behavior Therapies (Chicago Chapter). In addition to professional practice, Kristina is a Coach with Chicago Endurance Sports, training new and seasoned runners to run their best; a volunteer with the American Red Cross in their Armed Services Division, teaching mind-body techniques to current enlisted and veterans; and an Advocate Intern with The Borgen Project, lobbying for increased funding to fight poverty in developing nations.
